Tony L. Kamm, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at home of natural causes.

Tony Kamm was born on May 10, 1949, to Marvin and Mary Lou (Crompton) Kamm in Aberdeen, SD. He was raised in Leola, SD, where he attended Leola public schools and graduated from Leola High School.

After graduating, Tony enlisted in the United States Army in 1972. He served overseas in Germany and was honorably discharged in 1974.

In 1972, Tony was united in marriage to Kay Lapka in Leola, SD. The family was completed by the addition of two children, Sharyce and Tyler.

Tony began working for Brown County Implement, owned by Harly Taylor, which later became RDO Equipment. He continued working there for 39 years before retiring.

In his younger years, he loved competing in pickup pulls, where he won numerous awards and trophies. Tony enjoyed many years of going west river mule deer hunting with his buddies. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Aberdeen, SD. Other organizations he was involved in include the Masonic Temple, Yelduz Shriners, the Horse Patrol unit, and the American Legion, where he made many lasting friendships.

Tony is survived by his wife of 53 years, Kay Kamm of Aberdeen; children: Sharyce Green (Kamm) of Westport, Tyler Kamm of Mina, Tina Kamm-Neal of Mission, and Rebecca Schaffer of Sioux Falls; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a brother, Casey Kamm of Aberdeen.

He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings, Terry Kamm and Sandy Schutte.
