Tony Daly

Tony Daly, 87, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 28, 2026, in Aberdeen, SD.

Anthony W. Daly was born in Aberdeen, SD, on February 5, 1939, to Charles and Agnes (Cogley) Daly. He grew up in the Columbia area and graduated from Columbia High School in 1957.

Tony was united in marriage to Norma Jean Mertz of Columbia, SD, on June 18, 1960, at Sacred Heart Church in Aberdeen. Together, they built many homes and raised four sons. Their home was filled with lots of love and laughter.

Tony was a lifelong carpenter and successful business owner in Aberdeen. He was an active race car driver in Aberdeen and surrounding tracks for many years, racing both cars and snowmobiles.

Grateful for having shared Tony’s life are his wife Norma of Aberdeen, SD; sons Tab (Chris) Daly of Omaha, NE and his children Alex, Andi & Spencer; Scott (Cleo) Daly of Omaha, NE and their children Carissa, Dustin, Lindsay & Dillon; Troy (Echo) Daly of Omaha, NE and his children Taylor & Madison; and Trent (Tina) Daly of Sioux Falls, SD and their children Allison, Brady & Adam; and fourteen great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles and Agnes (Cogley) Daly of Columbia, SD, eight brothers, and one sister.
