Scott K. Erdmann, 61, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Sunday, December 7, 2025, at his home.

Scott Kenneth Erdmann was born on May 30, 1964, to Kenneth and Virginia (Hottman) Erdmann in Aberdeen, SD. He attended school in both Groton and Aberdeen. In his youth, he played baseball in the summer. He learned to drive minibikes and motorcycles at a young age. He loved driving go-karts around the track in the backyard that his dad, brother Mark, and he built. Scott always worked around the house, mowing and helping his dad when he was farming.

When the family moved to Aberdeen, Scott began working for Rent-A-Kid while going to school. He mowed lawns during the summer, shoveled snow in the winter, and did manual labor when needed.

This led him to start his own lawn service. Scott held various positions over the years, but ultimately, he earned his CDL and became a long-haul truck driver. He was a hardworking and determined man.

Scott had many struggles in life, but one thing that was certain was his faith. He loved and believed in God the Father. He always had a picture of the Lord in his house and would often say, “He is a good man.”

He had a big heart and will be deeply missed. Scott’s door was always open to anyone in need of a place to stay. Although Scott couldn't afford much himself, he would feed and help anyone, no matter what they needed. He will forever be in our hearts and will be dearly missed. Our family finds comfort knowing he is with God and his loved ones, and that he is warm, safe, and free from illness.

Scott’s spirit is carried on by his daughter, Torey April Erdmann of Aberdeen, and her children, Destiny Tara Four Horns, Atreau Four Horns, and William Shane Flood; his father, Kenneth Erdmann of Aberdeen; and his sister, Tamera Wauer of Aberdeen.

Scott is reunited in heaven with his mother, Virginia Erdmann; his brother, Mark Erdmann; his grandparents; and several other family and friends.
