Patricia Hermansen

Patricia Hermansen, 87, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Friday, October 23, 2026, at Prairie Heights Healthcare.

Patricia Hermansen was born on July 27, 1939, in Monango, North Dakota.

Patricia shared a beautiful life filled with family, love, and memories that will be treasured for generations. On July 28, 1956, she married the love of her life, Michael “Mick” Hermansen. Together, they built a life and raised their four children, sharing 69 years of marriage before Mick’s passing.

Family was an important part of Patricia’s life. She was a loving mother to Polly, Dana, Jodi, and Steve. Though she endured the heartbreaking loss of her husband, Mick, and her son, Steve, their memories and the love they shared remained forever a part of her.

Patricia’s family continued to grow through the years, bringing her the joy of 12 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren, whose lives are part of the wonderful legacy she leaves behind.

She is survived by her sister, Ruth (Gary); her children, Polly (Rod) Wolforth, Dana (Shawn) Hermansen, Jodi (Don) Bruckner; daughter-in-law, Nancy Hermansen; 12 grandchildren; and 25 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mick; her son, Steve; her mother, Ruby; her brothers, Ron and Ed; and her sisters, Karen, Vickie, and Julie.

Though Patricia’s passing leaves a tremendous void in the hearts of those who loved her, the memories she created and the family she helped build will live on. She will be remembered with love, missed beyond words, and forever held close in the hearts of her family.
