Marilyn M. Wik


Marilyn M. Wik, 75, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Monday, September 7, 2026, at her home.
Marilyn M. Malsom was born on February 11, 1951, in Aberdeen, SD, to Mathew and Marion (Schoch) Malsom. She was raised on a farm in the Roscoe, SD area and graduated from Roscoe High School in 1970. She later attended and graduated from the Aberdeen School of Commerce.
Marilyn moved to Rapid City, SD, where she worked at Retail Credit as a secretary for a short time. She married Raymond Wik of Aberdeen, SD, on November 10, 1973, at St Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Roscoe, SD. Together they raised two boys while she followed her husband on his military career around the world. Marilyn moved her family 17 times in 20 years.
After her husband's retirement, Marilyn moved her family one final time in1993, to Aberdeen, SD, where she worked in manufacturing until she retired from Banner Engineering in 2012. During her retirement, Marilyn enjoyed camping, fishing, baking, and traveling around the country visiting her family and friends.
Grateful for having shared Marilyn's life are her husband, Ray; her sons, Ryan and Roger; her granddaughter, Callie; siblings: Diane (Robert) Allbee, Angie (Randy) Crawford, Frances(Phil) Monks, Mathew (Londa) Malsom, Pius (Sue) Malsom, Harlan (Ramona) Malsom, Mariann Malsom, and 27 nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her Parents and one Infant brother, John.
