Donna Goodman

Donna K. Goodman, 72, died Wednesday March 27, 2024, at Good Shepheard Community in Sauk Rapids, MN.

Donna Kay Moser was born on July 14, 1951, to Howard and Beverley (Miller) Moser in Aberdeen, SD. She grew up in Aberdeen, graduating from Aberdeen Central High School in 1969. During her high school years, she was in the cappella choir, worked on the school newspaper, and was on the swim team.

On May 19, 1973, Donna married David Goodman in Aberdeen, SD. Together, they made their home in Aberdeen and raised two children, Ryan and Rebecca. She worked at Northwestern Bell for 15 years as a service representative until the company moved to Sioux Falls. Following that she held various part-time jobs to enable flexibility to primarily focus on her family, especially her children. She was very involved and supportive of her children’s student -athlete activities. David died in December 2018 and Donna moved to Becker, MN in October 2022 to be closer to her son and grandson.

Donna enjoyed playing the organ, camping, gardening, canning, arts and crafts and decorating cakes for others to celebrate special occasions. She loved the color purple, the smell of lilacs, and her favorite flowers were roses. She loved lemon meringue pie and was an avid watcher of Days of Our Lives. Donna was genuine, intuitive, tenacious, witty, and selfless. She was a provider, a teacher, and a role model. She loved her family tremendously and cherished time spent with grandchildren.

Grateful for having shared Donna’s life are her children: Ryan Goodman and Rebecca Goodman (Wilson Guzman); grandchildren: Jonathon Goodman and Roman Goodman; and sister, Doris (Mark) Ketterling.

Preceding Donna in death are her parents, Howard and Beverly Moser; husband, David Goodman; and brother, Dennis Moser.
