Audra Lynn Jung

Audra Jung, 46, of Aberdeen, SD, passed away on Tuesday, June 9, 2026, at Avera St. Luke's Hospital.
Audra Lynn (Lefforge) Jung was born on July 10, 1979 to Charles and Linda (Job) Lefforge in Aberdeen, SD. As a young girl, she loved spending time with her older sister, her cousins and her beloved Uncle Bob. She especially enjoyed visits to Storybook Land at Wylie Park, Sica Hollow State Park and swimming outings with her parents, sister and cousins. Aunt Stacey Job came to live them when their mom became sick. She walked them to and from school, Sunday School and cared for them when Linda couldn’t any longer.
At the age of 5, Audra experienced the heartbreaking loss of her mother, who passed away from brain cancer in 1984. Following her mother’s passing, Audra and Tara were lovingly raised by family members who provided them with care, stability and many cherished memories. Audra and Tara spent a year in Mansfield with Grandma Shirley. During this time, she attended Camp Good News, where she accepted Jesus into her heart, a decision that remained a meaningful part of her life. Audra spent part of a summer traveling with her dad in his semi across the United States. Audra and Tara then moved to Washington State to live with their Grandpa and Grandma Job. She attended Tumwater Elementary, where she enjoyed a happy childhood filled with bowling, hiking the beautiful trails of the Pacific Northwest, family vacations and spending time with Uncle Stan Job and Aunt Linda Job.
Audra was known for her quiet nature, gentle spirit, and generous heart. She possessed a remarkable willingness to help others and would gladly give her last 10 dollars to someone in need if she knew it would make a difference. Her compassion and selflessness touched the lives of many.
Throughout her life, Audra worked in a variety of roles. Most recently, she served as the manager at Family Dollar. She previously was a shift manager at the White House Inn and worked at Beadle Floral and The Eagles Club. An avid reader, she found joy in books, a love, she proudly passed on to her daughter, Hunter. She loved spending holidays at the Lefforge family gatherings, cookouts with her sister, Tara and weekends exploring rummage sales in search of a great bargain. She also loved watching episodes of The Golden Girls.
Above all else, Audra’s greatest pride and joy was her daughter, Hunter, whom she loved deeply. Her family and friends will forever remember her gentle soul, quiet strength, generosity and sense of humor.
Audra is lovingly survived by her daughter, Hunter; her father, Charles Lefforge; her sister, Tara (Joe East); her niece, Kayla; her nephews, Dylan, Luke and Jack; her brother, Christopher Lefforge and many aunts, uncles, cousins and cherished friends.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Lefforge, in 1984, and by her maternal and paternal grandparents.
